A History of Elfelis Siamese
A Family Tradition
My name is Lee Elliott, I am English, and have been breeding Siamese cats all my life. My children whom act as doulas to their own queens are the third generation of Siamese cat breeders in our family. While my English great-grandmother owned two Siamese cats, my mother started our first family cattery and was breeding Siamese cats since the 1960s. After initially owning an 'Applehead', she went on to breed Classic Siamese, sometimes referred to as Wedge-Heads, or misleadingly - as 'Modern Siamese'. Just as my children have, I grew up surrounded by Siamese cats and their regular clowders of kittens. On leaving my childhood home, I formed my own registered catteries and have bred show winning Siamese in Sweden and New Zealand before moving to America where I registered our new Siamese lineage - 'Elfelis'. My children each own a queen and I own the stud. Our cats come from long lines of healthy, prize winning heritages, and are brought up naturally to be confident, well adjusted, family cats. They are CFA registered, pure bred pedigrees.
We keep our kittens with their family, to free range play, while learning how to be a cat for the first 12-14 weeks of their lives. This allows them a happy childhood and enables them to learn from their parents and enjoy playing with their siblings. Exposed to our own children within a busy household, they become especially confident and prepared for adaptation when they re-home, ready bond with their new owners. They never experience the separation anxiety nor poor health that is often seen in kittens removed from their families too early. It is so important that kittens can continue breastfeeding once weaned to enable their immune systems time to develop naturally prior to their vaccinations.

In a time where there are many scams and unregistered, rogue breeders of dubious bloodlines - we like to remain transparent and open. We like to be a breath of fresh air in an increasingly difficult to trust online environment.
All our kittens will be issued CFA pedigree papers and owner transfers in a name of your choice, a newly issued wellness certificate and genetic health guarantee, initial vaccinations by arrangement, a Royal Canin care package, an open return policy, a preparation guide ahead of collection, permanent membership of our Elfelis FaceBook community, and continued ongoing support. We are able to liaise with pet transport companies, provide a flight nanny, or prepare paperwork for airlines.
